Hotel Villa Maria Pia is our “corner of Paradise”!
Like a precious flower on the rock, on a cliff overlooking the sea, in the suggestive scenario of the Amalfi Coast, in Praiano, one of the most fascinating and poetic places of our Italy, that we like to call “wonderland peninsula”.
The rock is hard, but our willpower is harder!
At the beginning of the 1960s, nothing existed on that cliff where Hotel Villa Maria Pia is now located. My child’s eyes saw it since the very beginning, growing day after day, in small steps, with love, dedication and effort.
My father, then engineer on large commercial ships, thanks to his savings and his work, gave life to this great project, which then continued with me and the help of my brother, still teenagers.
Over time, the property began to attract the first travelers from the city. My mother, Maria Pia, took care of the hospitality business, quickly becoming the “Queen” of hospitality. This is why our hotel is called Villa Maria Pia.
Family run hotel? Yes!
From the very beginning, in addition to the splendid location, the strength points of our hotel were the family management, the friendliness and the sincere pleasure in welcoming any traveler.
From those early days, the shy embryo of the holiday home has been transformed today into a hotel with 16 bright, comfortable rooms, all overlooking the blue of our incredible sea.
Now like before: we want to grow together!
Today, my father Giovanni, still a tireless worker, deals with the cultivation of the lemon gardens, tomatoes and other types of plants. My mother is dedicated to the flowers and plants that embellish the entire structure with their colors and scents.
My brother Luca takes care of the maintenance, attentive to every detail, while his wife, Ada, takes care of our special breakfast buffet, full of many sweet and savory local products, as well as the management of our small lounge bar.
My wife, the smiling Giulia, takes care of our guests: from managing reservations to welcoming them to the hotel, attentive to every detail and to everyone’s needs.
I love my job.
I was an Officer of the Merchant Navy for many years, later achieving the title of Captain, but the desire to return to my little paradise and grow this hotel with my family, prompted me to take leave to devote all of myself to this life.
Furthermore, my natural aptitude for socializing and the pleasure of dealing with people from different cultures from all over the world, made me love my job more and more.
Ah, by the way, I am Vincenzo, the director manager of Villa Maria Pia!
Together with Giulia, I put the maximum effort and an immense passion for this job, so that our guests “live their most beautiful dream!”
After all, our greatest satisfaction is that those who stay in our Hotel Villa Maria Pia, wish to never leave this magical and enchanting place, graced by a fairytale horizon that conquers everyone’s heart.
